In the past several months, our team has been growing.  We’ve added new employees to the team, and have realized how important it is to have a written document that captures all of our core values to get and keep all of our employees on the same page.  But you know what’s really difficult?  Being succinct.  Seriously…it’s ridiculously hard.  That’s why we have a lot of respect for brands that have done it right. A well written mission statement captures your core brand positioning, focuses the company’s direction, and helps shape strategy.  

Richard Branson explains it really well "Brevity is certainly key, so try using Twitter's 140-character template when you're drafting your inspirational message. You need to explain your company's purpose and outline expectations for internal and external clients alike. Make it unique to your company, make it memorable, keep it real and, just for fun, imagine it on the bottom of a coat of arms."
